I am seeking the office of Alderman for Ward 5 to represent and work for fellow citizens of Belleville, Illinois. I've been a proud resident of Ward 5 since 2012, and I'm committed to progress in our community.
I’ll be a voice for every neighborhood in Ward 5 and I will ensure every neighborhood is represented when decisions are made. I will speak up for improvements on public safety and infrastructure. I will show up for you!
I have over 25 years work experience in higher education teaching and administration that translates well into the obligations of City Council.
I graduated from Belleville Township High School West and from there I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in History from McKendree University and my Master’s Degree in History from Harvard University.
My education has taught me the importance of honoring and preserving Belleville’s long and storied history, which led to me volunteering to serve on Belleville’s Historic Preservation Commission for ten years. Ward 5 has been a vital part of our city’s rich history, and I will make sure it leads the way moving into the future.
I was born and raised in Belleville and am now raising my daughter here in Ward 5. This is why I am seeking the privilege to serve the residents of this Ward. During this campaign I look forward to meeting and hearing from many of you.
I believe an alderman should be the liaison between the citizens and the government. A vital element of this relationship is communication. So, I encourage you to reach out either through Facebook, Instagram or email and let me know your questions, concerns, and ideas.
